EASTON HOCKEY INTRODUCES FIRST HYBRID SKATE TO COMBINE COMFORT, PERFORMANCE – THE SYNERGY EQ5™
New Synergy offering fuses heat moldable quarter with innovative composite frame.
VAN NUYS, Calif. (October 26, 2009) – Easton Hockey today announced the launch of the Synergy EQ5™. The innovative new skate offers unmatched comfort while maintaining optimum control and performance consistency.
The Synergy EQ5 is a hybrid skate that combines the lightweight structure of Easton’s Stealth skate with a fully heat-moldable Fusion Foam in the boot quarter of for an ideal custom fit. The Synergy EQ5’s composite frame is strategically placed to optimize response and long-term performance consistency, while maintaining a balance of structure and fit.
“This Synergy EQ5 is perfect for the player who requires a higher level of customizability,” said Ned Goldsmith, Senior Vice President of Easton Hockey. “All players’ feet are different, and this skate addresses that with a unique combination of power, balance and stability.”
The Synergy EQ5 utilizes thermally activated anatomical ankle foams and a felt-based tongue to enhance the overall comfort of the skate and give players an optimal fit, while its texalium composite outsole, highlighted by Easton’s Dry Flow™, sets the standard for moisture management.
The Synergy EQ5 will be available at major sporting goods retailers in March 2009.
