Easton Introduces Industry-First In Batting Helmet Tech – Adjustable
Stealth Grip Helmet Features One-of-a-Kind Inform Fit System
VAN NUYS, Calif. (June 26, 2009) – Easton Sports, the leading designer and manufacturer of sporting goods, today unveiled its most innovative batting helmet to date – the Stealth Grip.
Creating a one-size-fits-all helmet for ball players, the Stealth Grip features the Inform™ Fit System – an easy-to-operate adjustable dial-fit system which ensures a true custom fit, while also creating the slimmest profile on the market.
Designed by Giro® – the worldwide leader in bicycling, snowboarding and skiing helmet technology – the Inform Fit System is located at the back of the helmet, trimming unnecessary bulk from both sides of the helmet while contributing to the most aerodynamic venting system on the market.
“There are certainly benefits to being part of the Easton-Bell Sports family, and our collaboration with Giro is one of them,” said Matt Arndt, senior vice president of Easton’s baseball/softball division. “For the first time ever, consumers can adjust their helmet while it’s on their head, ensuring the truest fit on the market.”
Easton’s Stealth Grip helmet comes in four different colors and is composed of a high-grade Acrilonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) shell, a durable plastic used for maximum impact resistance. It features a one-piece molded Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) internal foam liner – a flexible, lightweight foam originally designed for automotive energy management applications, and computer packaging – plus antimicrobial Bio-Dri Lycra® padding and a unique rubberized matte finish, to provide unmatched comfort and protection.
The 2010 Stealth Grip will be available in all major sporting goods stores beginning September 2009.
