Quincy, Mass. – Feb. 16, 2012 – Good Sports, a national non-profit organization that provides sports equipment to disadvantaged youth, today announced a strategic partnership with Easton-Bell Sports that will provide a greater number of girls and boys with opportunities to participate in athletic activities.

As part of this partnership, Easton-Bell Sports will provide sports equipment from each of its brands, Easton, Bell, Riddell, Giro and Blackburn, for Good Sports to distribute to programs in need nationwide. This equipment will enable more American youth to participate in sports and fitness activities, a critical component of supporting healthy, active lifestyles for young people.

“The mission of Good Sports – to make organized physical activity accessible to every child regardless of ability to pay – is one that we align with very strongly at Easton-Bell Sports. Our portfolio of sporting goods products across hockey, football, lacrosse, cycling, and snow and power sports enables us to provide meaningful equipment donations to help Good Sports serve more youth and decrease costs for families,” said Donna Flood, Chief Operations Officer of Easton-Bell Sports and a member of the Good Sports Advisory Council. “We look forward to engaging our employees and consumers in our new partnership with Good Sports.”

Easton-Bell Sports aims to incorporate its partnership with Good Sports throughout its philanthropic and marketing strategies, including employee-driven programs, cause-marketing initiatives, and brand marketing campaigns.

“Sports and fitness activities are crucial to the healthy physical, emotional, and social development of children,” said Melissa Harper, CEO of Good Sports. “This partnership will make sports accessible to thousands of children in need across the country. We are so grateful to Easton-Bell Sports for their commitment to Good Sports’ goal of getting everyone in the game.”
