Giro Debuts 2010 Line of Cycling Gloves;

Luxury and Style for the Road,

Team‐Driven Durability and Detail for the Dirt,

and More Choices for Women

(SANTA CRUZ, CA) AUG 10, 2009: Giro® is proud to announce the launch of their 2010 collection of cycling gloves, featuring 4 new models, including the LX LFTM road glove, the DJTM mountain glove, the MonicaTM women’s road glove, and the XenaTM women’s trail glove. The complete collection will be available at Giro specialty cycling retailers starting in September 2009.

“Giro’s cycling glove collection is designed to enhance comfort and provide a layer of protection, without sacrificing feel and control” said Eric Richter, Giro Sr. Brand Manager. “These new models complement our existing line, and provide more options for riders. Our unique Super Fit Engineering process creates a snug fit throughout the glove, and our three‐panel palm designs minimize excess material that causes bunching. The result is a line of gloves that covers almost any need, and a pair of gloves that disappear when you put them on.”

  • LX LFTM; The LX LF is a full‐fingered version of our neo‐classic LXTM road glove (formerly known as the LussoTM). It combines luxurious PittardsTM leather uppers with wool stretch panels and a PittardsTM leather palm, for the ultimate in feel and control. We use genuine TechnogelTM padding in the heel of the palm to reduce road shock and a low‐profile VelcroTM closure with metal accents. Available in 5 sizes (S‐XXL) with MSRP of $70.00.
  • DJTM; The DJ is a team‐driven glove designed specifically for dirt jump and trail riders who want durable gloves with some style that will hold up to shoveling, riding and the occasional bail out. Featuring a moisture‐wicking 4‐way stretch upper, with built‐in flex zones and reinforced fingertips, and a ClarinoTM palm with 3mm EVA crash pad. Available in 5 sizes (S‐XXL) with MSRP of $34.00.
  • MONICATM; The Monica is a full‐featured women’s road glove, made with the finest quality materials and engineered to fit a woman’s hand without bunching or excess material. The 4‐way stretch, breathable upper is matched to a supple 3‐panel Pittards leather palm that enhances grip, with TechnogelTM padding for comfort mile after mile. Available in 3 sizes (S‐L) with MSRP of $40.00.
  • XENATM; The Xena is a medium‐weight women’s mountain bike glove, designed to be supple‐yet durable enough for daily riding. Featuring a breathable 4‐way stretch upper with built‐in flex zones, a 3‐panel ClarinoTM palm that minimizes bunching, and a TechnogelTM pad to enhance protection and comfort. Available in 3 sizes (S‐L) with MSRP of $38.00.

COMPLETE GIRO 2009/2010 GLOVE LINE

In addition to the new models, Giro’s full glove line includes the ProofTM, AmbientTM, BlazeTM, WesterlyTM and CandelaTM winter gloves; the LX, Monaco LF, Monaco, Zero and Bravo road models, the Remedy, Xen and Rivet trail gloves; and the Tessa, and Loma Women’s gloves.
