With all helmets, whether it be football, hockey, bike, baseball or motocross, whether in recreational or at an elite competitive level, a proper fit is essential for a player’s comfort and protection.
While a properly fitted helmet is vitally important to an athlete’s safety and protection, it does not prevent the serious head or neck injuries a player might receive while participating in a high impact team or individual sport where head protection is needed . So practice and play sensibly, and as always, teach or utilize proper form and head positioning when participating in contact or high speed performance sports.
